As a member of the Laugh and Learn team, you will be expected to follow established policies and procedures and work cooperatively with co-teachers on planning and preparation. You will be responsible for observing and documenting each child’s progress, attending weekly planning and assessment meetings, and working with families to develop educational plans. You will also be required to maintain the appropriate state credentials and attend training.
Several different types of autism therapies can be used to help your child. ABA therapy, for example, is an evidence-based treatment that can make a significant difference in the lives of children with autism spectrum disorders. During this type of treatment, the therapist will develop an individualized treatment plan for each child based on their specific needs.

The Creative Curriculum is a comprehensive, research-based curriculum that integrates language, literacy, and mathematics throughout the day. It also supports children’s social-emotional development and helps them become confident, capable learners. The curriculum includes a foundation volume that focuses on building relationships and a learning environment, teaching guides for six study topics, daily resources, and professional development opportunities.
The curriculum is organized into long-term, project-based investigations called studies. These are designed to cover topics that 3- and 4-year-olds are interested in exploring. The curriculum also teaches children about themselves and their communities through authentic play-based learning experiences. The curriculum’s Daily Resources include more than 75 Intentional Teaching Experiences that support language and literacy development and a wide range of materials from the Teaching Strategies Children’s Book Collection. It also guides integrating the classroom environment with activities that encourage active exploration and offers ideas for incorporating children’s interests into the study topic.
Educators can further enhance the curriculum’s ability to support children’s growth and development with the GOLD formative assessment system. The system allows teachers to capture observations in the moment and automatically connect them to daily instructional resources, ensuring that each child receives individualized instruction. It can also help educators identify if a child’s skills are meeting, progressing toward, or exceeding widely held expectations for their age group or class level.

HiMama Program
HiMama is an all-in-one childcare app for sharing precious moments with parents. It provides a window into the activities that children do during the day and allows educators to create a portfolio of each child’s experience. It also features educational activities for educators to use in the classroom. Parents can access calendars, photos, daily updates, and two-way messaging with their child’s educators.
